Let me introduce myself..

I’m Dr. Kat — health and energy coach, night-shift hospitalist physician, wife, mama to an awesome daughter, dream builder, and a Berlin girl at heart.

Also: chronic learner, deep science nerd, certified 2 AM scribbler of genius ideas, lover of good coffee, deeper conversations, and the occasional guilty-pleasure murder mystery.

But here’s what really matters:

I’ve built a life most people would call “impossible.”

Not because it’s perfect — but because it’s mine.
One where my biology leads, my energy feels steady, and I finally trust myself to keep creating the vision I used to daydream about on back-to-back 12-hour shifts.

It wasn’t always this way.

For years, I ran on fumes.
Buzzing through days in a constant state of cortisol-charged motion.
Ignoring the tension in my back, the shallow breath, the racing mind that couldn’t slow down long enough to enjoy a hug… let alone savor the life I’d worked so hard to build.

Stress was my baseline.
Even the smallest things — like a crumb stuck to my foot — could send me spiraling.

Now?

My rhythms run the show.
I still work night shifts.
Still juggle mom life, work life, and big dreams.
But I no longer sacrifice myself for it all.

Because I’ve learned how to partner with my biology — not push against it.
I know what to do when the stress hits.
I reset when I need to — 154 times a day, if that’s what it takes.

This is the life I’m building:
